The tiger was looking at the water while washing his face on the river. "Hmm, how great I am, my body is so muscular and the color of my stripes is very beautiful," said the tiger to himself. The tiger was arrogant and it made him like to abuse other smaller and weaker animals. The mouse deer finally couldn't stand him anymore. "The tiger is too far!", he said furiously. "I must give him lesson!" In the middle of his way home, the mouse deer met the rabbit. They discussed about the behavior of the tiger and tried to look for an idea how to make the tiger learn his lesson. After for a long time thinking in silent, "Hmm, I had an idea," said the mouse deer suddenly.
"But you must help me," continued the mouse deer to the rabbit. "Listen, if you meet the tiger, tell him that I thrashed you because of disturbing me, and tell him also that I will thrash anyone who dared to disturb me, including the tiger, because I am undertaking the important task," said the mouse deer to the rabbit. "What kind of important task, Mouse Deer?" asked rabbit curiously. "Just tell him that, if the tiger then later look for me, send him under the big tree on the end of the road. I will be waiting for him there." "But I'm afraid. Are you sure it's going to be successful?" the rabbit was still unsure. "Trust me, don't call me the smarty mouse deer if I failed." "OK, OK. I trust you, but don't be too sure. I don't want you to be like the arrogant tiger." The rabbit then came across the tiger that was lazing around. The rabbit was rather nervous telling the tiger about what happened to him. After hearing the rabbit story, the tiger became furious. "What? The mouse deer wants to thrash me? Roar! How dare him!!" shouted the tiger. Exactly just like the plan, the tiger asked to be accompanied to the place of the mouse deer was. "That's him, the mouse deer!" Rabbit whispered while pointing to the side of a big tree on the end of the road, "We almost there, Tiger. I am afraid of him, don't tell him I'm the one who told you this," said the rabbit. The rabbit at once ran entered the undergrowth. "Hey Mouse Deer!!!" The tiger yelled at the mouse deer. "I heard that you wanted to thrash me, is that true?" Ask the tiger angrily. "Don't talk loud! I undertake an important task". "What important task?" Then the mouse deer indicated the big round shape object, hanged on the branch of the tree. "I must guard a heirloom gong* up there." "What is heirloom gong?" Ask the curious tiger. "Heirloom gong is a kind of small gong, but this is not an ordinary gong. Its sound is very tuneful, I can't describe it by words." The tiger became curious. "Can I strike it? Who knows my headache can be vanished hearing the sound of this gong." "No, don't do that," forbade the mouse deer. But the tiger continued to persuade him. After a long time debated, "Okay, but after I leave, don't blame me if anything happens, OK?" warned the mouse deer.
Bzzzzz....bzzzzzz...a group of angry bees came out of their nest disturbed. The bees pursued and stung the tiger. "Help! Help!" cried the tiger while running. He continued to run headed towards a river. Splash!! The tiger at once jumped into the river. Apparently he had finally been safe from the bee attack. "Roar! Naughty mouse deer!" The tiger yelled angrily. "I was fooled." "Hahaha!" The mouse deer laughed out loud. "Look that strong tiger ran and stung by the bees!" said the mouse deer. "I hope the tiger can learn from this incident," wished the rabbit. * A gong is one of a wide variety of metal percussion instruments.
